New Great Race characters

Do you guys think that Plarail or TrackMaster models will come out of any of the new characters in The Great Race? They would all look very unique indeed, with all of their new, bright liveries different from the rest of Thomas and his friends, and their odd shapes!

I forgot to add the 12th engine last time, and assumed it was Flying Scotsman. Sorry!

Literally seconds ago I saw the trailer and wish I could go to the UK to see it early! They're getting it in theaters in May, but I have to wait until August or September for the DVD release. ;w;
The trailer has tons of hype, and reveals voices for many characters, and has a few more references to previous movies like season 19 does, such as a stunt that is very similar to Thomas' jump into the air onto dry land from The Great Discovery.

I would love to have any or all of those you linked to but only if from Plarail and not Trackmaster Revolution. I know I may get some gruff for this but everyone of them I would like to get my hands on for a deface project Especially Saul from Brazil. Thanks for the list Miksolo.

You could probably make an Ivan using a DD51 and a bit of fancy airbrush work for the paintjob. Although in this case you'd have to do a reverse Super and re-face it (you never know he may have some spares lol!) Smile

Where's the british representative?

A De-Face Re-Face LOL.

There was a time that I had plans to take a Plarail engine that wasn't based after any Thomas character and putting a face on it to create a one of a kind train but haven't got around to it. Maybe in the future.
I like the look of the SAR 520 but dislike the choice of name, the only famous Aussie named Shane I can think of is Shane Warne the cricketer lol hardly a role model for kids with his past transgressions.

Also makes me wonder how they will tackle the gauge difference as the Shane is broad gauge running on 5' 3" track where British Track is 4' 8", Gauge conversions are possible of course but it makes me wonder if they will ignore this.

I also heard that this will be the first Thomas musical but I don't know how much truth there is to that...

A wikia member commented about Shane possibly being named after Shane Warne. Apparently his livery is the same colors as Australia's cricket team. All I know about cricketing is that Ross "RubberNinja" O'Donovan and Arin "Egoraptor" J. Hanson played it once on Game Grumps's sister show, Steam Train.

The gauge difference has been entirely ignored like with previous characters that are too small or too big, like Gator being standard gauge even though he has a narrow gauge basis, and Sam being too large.

The trailer claims that it's a musical. I really hope it isn't as musical as they're making it out to be. I like a few songs, but I wouldn't like hearing sing-a-long after sing-a-long after sing-a-long after sing-a-long when I'm already hyped up on candy, popcorn, and candied popcorn. I'd have the biggest headache.

The British representatives are Gordon and Flying Scotsman of course!

Anyone else think Yong Bao sorta looks like a cross between Hiro and Murdoch? In regards to shape, that is.

I agree with Ucewpn, any Australian train should be called 'Bruce' Big Grin

These are awesome engines. I agree with Super, hopefully some of these would be made by Plarail as I would likely by them all. Big Grin
