I've been using bricklink, since you can buy new or used. I also buy spare Speed Champions Kits and break them apart since that what I like at the moment.Big Grin
Reasonable prices Blush and I try buying in bulk with the commonly used bricks. We have bins storage, behind Evan.

Very cool and imaginative AC. I am guessing that your Lego collection of parts and models have surpassed your Plarail in size.

You have to talk to my lawyer about that... I cannot divulge that info.... Big Grin

Very nice AC, I especially like the first (black) car, modelled on Fast & Furious by any chance?

I have to say my lego collection has massively exceeded all my various train collections, its amazing how many parts you amass very quickly with the part count in some kits in the 1000-2000 piece range.

I use BrickSet to track my sets/collection and even excluding my 'spare/loose' brick purchases I don't even want to divulge how many bricks it reckons I have (and I don't think I've even got all my sets in it yet).

AC - On the subject of lego cars have you seen the 8364 set? This is awesome, comes with track which is expandable/variable like all lego stuff, but here's the really cool thing it has car chassis which are motorised and have a built in rechargeable cell. You simply press a button on the charging station, press the car down on it and it charges in seconds and gives you a good couple of minutes running time. This is to the best of my knowledge the only set that had these chassis as subsequent ones using the same track came with the 'pull-back' motors, but these ones are way cooler IMHO Smile

8364 that is neat! Never seen it before.

I also keep tabs on Brickset. So far it states I have 312 sets uploaded lol
I know its way more than that due to the custom made sets and sets that We have not assembled Blush I got tired of building large technic sets 8-10 hours. I had more pleasure building these small speed champion cars Big Grin

I'm with you on the big builds, I mean I love the results, but a build that takes a weekend or several evenings is a marathon. Then after all that build you just want to display them rather than do anything with them or allow kids to touch them for fear of having to do it all over again.

The Speed Champions are great as they are a fairly quick build, look great and of course are pretty sturdy once together, almost perfect for kids. As I mentioned before I quite like the older 'Tiny Turbos' as well, similar to the Speed Champions but a smaller scale these are really quick builds, maybe 10 minutes each but can look really cool. I've even been building my own custom Tiny's using stock bricks I picked up in a lego store from the 'brick wall'. It can be really rewarding to build something cool using just standard bricks Smile

If you can find an 8364 I would highly recommend you grab it, they are awesome sets, I've managed to snag two so far, the first from someone local, but one of the chassis has a fault which I need to fix. The second set was an international purchase, but came with 4 chassis instead of the standard 2 so I'm over the moon now!! Big Grin

Hey AC, you may want to get a copy of the new Blocks magazine, they are doing a custom build of the hairpin in Monaco for the Speed Champions cars, see Here
