Wow...is that awesome! Fantastic. Love the finish line tape. Looks to be all home made risers. I imagine that if it was for the Guiness book it would have to be a continuous run but with the statistics how did a battery last that long especially since a stock Thomas motor is not very fast. Thanks for sharing Plarailfan, very interesting. Hmmm how long did it take them to set up?

The longest plastic toy train track measured 2,888 m (9,475 ft 0.56 in) and was assembled by Thomas & Friends Team China in Shanghai, China, on 24 November 2012.

Thomas was the character-train used for this event. It took 4 hr 59 m 58 sec to travel the track. 13,769 pieces of plastic train track were used for this record.

its neat, thats for sure! i think something similar was done at the ipswich railway workshops in australia. that one might have been blue track? cant remember.
