Our little trains in the Guiness book of records - plarailfan - 04-19-2014 Here's a bit of inspiration. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFoNeySZQ2c RE: Our little trains in the Guiness book of records - Super - 04-19-2014 Wow...is that awesome! Fantastic. Love the finish line tape. Looks to be all home made risers. I imagine that if it was for the Guiness book it would have to be a continuous run but with the statistics how did a battery last that long especially since a stock Thomas motor is not very fast. Thanks for sharing Plarailfan, very interesting. Hmmm how long did it take them to set up? Quote:The longest plastic toy train track measured 2,888 m (9,475 ft 0.56 in) and was assembled by Thomas & Friends Team China in Shanghai, China, on 24 November 2012. RE: Our little trains in the Guiness book of records - ActionChugger - 04-20-2014 Wish it was blue tracks! ;P but that was awesome! RE: Our little trains in the Guiness book of records - sunhuntin - 04-20-2014 its neat, thats for sure! i think something similar was done at the ipswich railway workshops in australia. that one might have been blue track? cant remember. RE: Our little trains in the Guiness book of records - plarailfan - 04-21-2014 The Ipswich layout is here buddy. I wonder if the same team built both layouts, as they look quite similar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Gjw76y3Frc Here's another record breaker, using the blue track. http://news.panasonic.net/archives/2013/1227_25442.html RE: Our little trains in the Guiness book of records - Chrisf1961 - 05-11-2014 Excellent but they should have put some scenery and other engines on! |
