Thanks Dalag. Back of box content list have harold with flag. What i saw on internet pictures of layout or YouTube video there no flag in it but they 2nd hands ones not new ones. I havent seen any unboxing videos of holiday set.

Hmmm...maybe this banner will turn out to be quite the rare item. Sunhuntin has one of these sets although I don't know if it was bought new. Muddy...do you have a set?

Luckily, I found one listing that did have a small photo showing the content list and not just the "main" portion of the back (beyond the red area):



It still insists that he actually came with the banner. TOMY doesn't sound like a company that would knowingly present a false statement regarding an item's existence as being 100% true, unless said item was cancelled or only a few of it were made. However, literally no photos of the actual set ever showed a sign of the banner (not even a piece left from cutting or peeling off), as if it's totally absent from any released copies:



I could only speculate that it may have been a poorly made/applied sticker that had always fallen off even inside the box (unlikely for TOMY, but I can't think of any other reason). Surely at least some owners have found it lying at the bottom but chose not to use it. Had they ever provided replacement ones (like LEGO parts), we could've had some indication of its material and attachment method. Until then, the cut out one I made from the close up should suffice.

If it is just a buyer applied sticker I would have to say it would have been a double over (in half) stick to itself type sticker so it could be 2 sided. The problem with that is the sticker would have to be made in sort of a one piece flat 'vee' shape so it would go around that angle of Harolds tail fin and meet up on the other side. A difficult application even if it were a straight fin. If any of this is true then I can see buyers becoming frustrated with how it turns out and rip it off.  I don't see any other buyer applied stickers in this set so if it did use a sticker it would come on a small sticker sheet which could be easily lost.

A lot of the mystery has been resolved but we still would like to either see one for sure or talk to somebody who has a first hand experience with the set and the Banner.

No I have never seen a banner for Harold.
The box does say that it comes with one though, so I guess that it will be with investigating!!

No Super unfortunately we do not.
I would even open it to find out if we did!

Wait....WHAT???  There is a set you don't have Muddy?.....I don't believe it...impossible. Its there, you just have to weed through the hundreds of boxes in the train room. You probably just forgot.
