im not overly fussed on thomas either. not sure who my favourite would be, it changes, lol. i really hate how the new CGI series and movies have turned them all into whiney brats who constantly stuff up and expect to be forgiven automatically.
for some reason, rusty has always appealed from a design perspective.

i really need to find a windmill, as the layout painting has stalled as i plan to build a small hill for it, and i cant paint any pathways until thats done, and i need the measurements for it.

i have gone against my gut and bought a windmill from an aussie website. something about it feels "off", but im desperate to get on with the layout, so im hoping against hope that all goes ok. i made sure i paid through paypal so im protected against non-delivery of goods.

i emailed the site first and asked if they had the item in stock, and got a much faster reply than expected. [i usually wait overnight for a reply. this one came within about half an hour.]

percy has arrived with my helper in the uk, wrapped in brown paper [!!!!] so he will box and forward on to me.

Just love those expressions on the extra faces for Percy. Do they just snap in and out with no tools needed to swap them out?

yes. i use my fingernails to remove the old face and the next one slides on. the reverse is slotted on both sides and lines up with "sliders" on the inside of the smokebox.
