these are listed as unpowered and n scale. ive no experience with this range, but im going to buy anyway. as it happens i have a second tomix thomas coming from jauce, so may be able to cobble something together to make this run.

These must be the snap together model sets that I see Suzukawa put together. Quite small, maybe "N" scale? There must be a whole line of them I guess. She does have other videos about this type of models.

B-Train Shorty by Bandai.

N scale except for the length which is exactly half.

Most train sets you buy are static. You must buy the motor car that you must swap out of the models to run them on N scale tracks.

So you can get some of these snap together kits that are motorized?
thanks for the video, super. someone on facebook said he has used kato chassis to power these before, so hopefully the tomix chassis will work just as well.

plarnold, thanks for that. will have a look on jauce and see about this powered car. worst comes to worst, i can always mod one with one of the thomas coaches i guess? will have to have a look.

Bandai sells the motorised chassis that you can swap out easily.

Lots of people have also used standard N scale chasses on B-train shorty train sets.

That is so cool, thanks Plarnold.
I wonder if you could convert one of these to run on a Plarail advance drive unit? I doubt somehow the carriages would be long enough, but its an interesting thought.

Alternatively maybe one of the Tomytec moving buses chassis could fit, may have to have a think about this.

Incidentally I recently got the normal scale Tomy Plarail version of this train, highly recommended as the loco is quite a bit nicer than the standard tomy Thomas Smile

Plarail Advance is between N scale and B-train Shorty scale. It will be too long for the B-train shorty trains.
