I'm looking to bid on two more items right now; I've already received the other shipment. To be honest, very surprised about the length of the double straight rails!

What are you surprised about?
I've only had the standard straight rails, and the double straights are as long as my arm!

So you like them then right? the double straights and the double curves are great as the make the track sit flatter and with less bumps at the joints. The double straights are also great for extending Monorail layouts too. I just wish they would have also offered them in gray too.
I quite enjoy them, especially as they'll be a tremendous help with the layout around the tree this year!

So I take it that Bill Ben and Timothy were in the same episode?
I also have a theory that it relates to the new trackmaster redisigns!

Hilarious inept demonstration. LOL
I think this video illustrates the "trial and error" method behind the entire line since its production and manufacturing. Granted that Gator has yet to go wrong with me, I've got a suspicious feeling that he will in due time.

So, if that's how well this new set performs in the store -- during an official demonstration, no less -- imagine how poorly it will do once brought home!
About the only thing the newly redesigned trackmaster does fairly well is climb insanely high non-realistic grades. It's as if the head designer at Fisher Price visited a cog railway while on holiday. "Here's how we'll make it better...make it a cog railway!"
At least the ladies kept their composure. They probably didn't know any better.
