Spare parts, wheels ?

Hello, great site btw!

I have scored about 8 full different tomy train box sets, as well as about 16 different tomy trains in their boxes, most seem to work, but they were in storage apparently for years, and the wheels on most if not all trains, look like there was glue a on rubber wheels/tyres and some look semi melted, dented, strange, will add pics later.

Is there a site anywhere where I can buy spare wheels/typres ?

Such a shame so many trains have this issue for some reason.
Welcome to the forum, sounds like you had a good buy Smile These tires on ebay below seem to be the best price, it's just a matter of removing the old tire and putting on the new tire, they are not glued on either rather broken down from age and stuck Smile

Ah ok weird.
They look odd, they are so hard, and beyond stuck... and some have weird dents in them, even where the actual plastic wheel part looks melted. Not just the little rubber tyres.

I think my partner can fix/replace the rubber tyres thats no issues, just some of the actual wheels/axels will need a full replacement... and cannot seem to find those anywhere to buy.

We have Alot of trains, maybe a good 80+ so I guess will have too see what is junk and strip some apart for spare parts.

We plan to mod some of the trains too, from some of the videos here using the dash motors and see what happens.

And yes thanks, we had a massive buy... actually ended up being over 30 trains easily, least 16 rough count all came with their boxes, but nearly all of those have all same weird tyre issue.

And we ended up with far too much blue tracks again lol... have about 400 or so pieces, thats not including all the ones from all sets we scored as well. Oh the pain of sorting/going through it all.
