The more I thought about the Commuter issue I have...I realized that I have seen electric commuters and rode on them a few times....You see, I visited Switzerland about 35 years ago or more. There you can hardly look up without seeing a sky full of Gantry's and train pantograph wires. So I rode them around the country side and between towns. So I was wrong....I have had a week or two traveling on electric commuters.

It's a real shame that sales of these Plarail Taiwan trains are geographically limited and mostly hard to come by.

At least the Taiwan market is still alive. I do wish we could see some new scenic pieces in these sets or at least some that could be purchased separately. Thanks for the heads up.
I hear that the limited release Keio 1000 Series (Light Blue) was re-issued yesterday. It originally came out in 2005 and was available until 2013. I understand that the re-issue uses (almost?) the same box as the original, but this is not definitely confirmed.
Might tick off owners of the light blue one because...isn't it a harder one to find as opposed to all the other color variations?
Thanks Dr Chris
The Plarail Railway Crossliner, previously available as part of the 2022 Best Selection Set, will be released on 18th May as S-58, - replacing S-58 Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line 2000 Series with Light.

I'm not sure about the relative scarcity of the original seven different colour versions of the Keio 1000, but the Plarail Museum tells us that the light blue one was sold out / out of production in 2013, while the other six went on into 2014, so that makes sense. Blue-Green, Salmon Pink, and Light Green were re-issued in January 2015, along with a new eighth colour - Orange Beige - and lasted into 2019/2020. L-R: Light Green, Blue Green, Light Blue, Violet, Salmon Pink, Beige, Ivory White. Orange Beige below.
