Thanks Jukio

That Clear Yellow Ver II looks like one of those photo holding souvenirs. Hmmm, wonder if the Aso-Boys express coach is a brand new version.

Maybe, Real "SL ASO BOY" is the same plarail S-51 "SL Hitoyoshi-Go"

I think to make from S-51 "SL Hitoyoshi-GO" and difficult "Headmark"

No New Battery Box.....

So Jukio, are you saying that this vintage free rolling train is to be re-released for the 60th Anniversary as a motorized unit? It looks like that steam engine couldn't hols a drive unit so I assume the bulky boxcar to the rear of the engine would house any drive unit although I am just guessing here.

It’s hard to tell but the SL Aso Boy seems to have a recolored coach. Like Jukiodaisuki mentions, the locomotive is probably exactly the same except for the head mark.

A bit more research suggests that the coaches are brown and cream with gold trim. I presume the images I’ve found online are current because some clearly show the earlier Hitoyoshi brown and gold filigree coaches.
