Those talking engines are interactive, so maybe those are buttons are to make A&C talk too??
Funny though FP is already a year behind in releasing the previous batch that has yet to hit any shelves, so I guess these will start trickling out by 2023.
Play nice & have fun!!
Many things are looking a bit weird on these trains... Red sound buttons are way too large. Actually, they should be "hidden" as much as they can be, and not red, and not that big! Almost all the cabin roof is a big showy red button?
I'm sure that the red things on Annie & Clarabel have some function, but they are also... not nice. And why such an extra large number on Gordon's and James's tenders? Btw James's van is advertised as "full of pigs".
Actually I wonder what's up with his red stripes.
Train it, plane it, you name it!

Now that you mention it and looking closer, Diesel does look to have a longer nose. Maybe they needed more space for the electronics???
I can understand the large red buttons (not that I like them), if their demographics is aimed at toddlers as they are more into touching to play. Nothing has surprised me with any of the Trackmaster II's and there has only been a couple things that has impressed me since they first arrived on the scene.
I wholeheartedly agree, I mean look at Annie and clarabel!
