Another question for you to consider: why does it have a pantograph on the driving car?

Jumping in on this as I'm curious, I have no idea why it carries that number as it doesn't seem appropriate for a class 43, I would have expected something like 43xxx.  As for the pantograph that's a bit of a surprise because as I recall the 125 HST was a diesel powered train.  Although having said that I do know the east coast line which is where it would likely have operated does have overhead electric lines.  You're not going to tell us it was the first real 'hybrid' are you Chris?
