I thought Loziochecreanr's version was cleverly thought-out (built back-to-front with a "Thomas Type"), but this is even more creative. Very similar to how Black64 cut down a Flat DU so it could fit in a Tekoro Philip.
Speaking of which, my only nitpick is he made him ever so slightly too short in length; even compared to Glynn's CGI proportions. The tiny wheelbase makes him a "rough rider" and there's no room for any weights to make him more stable. Had he kept some of the front and made it AAA length like the above Philip conversion, the wheelbase would've performed better and looked more accurate. Other than that, it does show how versatile a modded Flat Type can be compared to most other gearboxes.
@DrMopp1966: If I hadn't transplanted the DU from my own Ivor to remove Salty's talking truck, I could've done much the same thing so he wouldn't have Thomas' proportions. Bill, Ben, Lady and Dart could also benefit from this chassis, as well as the powered tenders for some of the tender drive engines. A Plarail AEG Thomas/Nia would be a great base for Ivor too.
