mt fuji should fit the red circle almost perfectly. might be a bit snug in places as the base isnt a perfect circle. i have to take all mine up in the ceiling with the rest and have a red circle sitting out, so will give it a try.
as for the trains, i think they are based on real life, but how close i dont know. gerisplarail is very on to it with japanese trains and might know the answer.

any chance of the link or pic of your mt fuji set? especially interested in the plakids.

Hi guys yes these magnetic couple-rs are very real and very cool, not only are they used to have EF freight engines transport the Shinkansen but for two Shinkansen to travel together. as you can see in the video they are not magnetic in real life but it is a great way to simulate it with the Tomy trains.
