More train stuff from around the house...
Located in our train room my Grandson loves this picture because even though there is no lettering at all (strange) on the train, it looks exactly like it would be a long, Union Pacific freight train being pulled by 4 diesels. The picture is 40 inches wide.
With the original box this rare, pretty cool Lionel train table lamp is very much liked by us and proves to be a nice conversation piece when friends are over. When the light is turned on, the Hudson 700E "moves" quickly as all the wheels and rods are put into motion. The train is brought to life while slightly rocking back and forth with the life like sounds of the engine and steam whistle. As you can see on the plaque, the Hudson 700E was quite a significant train for Lionel. Wow, $75 in 1937, wonder how much that would be in 2014 dollars?
