Yup, 630, but there is only the loco and one carriage plus 8 pieces of track
I've finished building it, quite impressive looking actually. In some ways Lego could learn a few lessons from Aussini, they seem to mostly give you the flat plates, so that most of the 'pegs' on the bricks are covered giving a far more professional finish.

I know what you mean, but at the same time you have to look at the price they are selling at, they are way cheaper than the lego equivalents, besides all it would take to 'fix' the problem would be to source some alternative wheels and some technic beams and pegs
