The thing that worries me at times with youngsters these days is no matter what you give them in no time at all they start getting miserable and when you ask what's up they say "I'm bored". Now maybe I was a bit weird, but when I was their age I was never bored, there was always something to play with (even though we had little) and always a new adventure - makes me think of Toy Story 3 actually.
What is the problem? Why can't they create imaginative worlds and enjoy themselves without something showing them how to do it? I wonder if the real issue is that kids these days are not really allowed to be kids for long enough with some parents trying to make them into 'little adults' before they are really old enough to be one. Bit like this latest push on wanting to teach 5 year olds about 'relationships', half of the imagination bit was learning how to interact with your peers and build relationships. Again just too much meddling with their little minds before they are ready

Well, I can't speak for the majority but with our experience modeling is the ONLY way to get through to my oldest. I spent years and tons of money on toys to try to get some type of response from him. Honestly trains were the only thing that seemed to make him happy. He would spend hours laying on the floor watching them go around. Up until he was 4 there was zero pretending. Even social situations require practice and modeling the correct responses just for regular conversations.

I am drastically in love with the old style formula 1 cars, especially from the 80's to the early 90's. this era was probably the best era ever in formula one. Names like Prost, Senna (my idol), mansell, Schumacher, piquet, Berger shaped the way of formula 1 as we know it today. I like to think formula 1 as my 2nd hobby for collecting and I have a dream one day to get a genuine race used Ayrton Senna Helmet (now going upwards of $100,000).
