RE: Clear Rubber Bands? - Super - 04-17-2017 Thanks Colin, I am not one to visit those .99 cent stores, the closest I have been to is Five and Below but I certainly will check them out if the ones I ordered aren't any good. RE: Clear Rubber Bands? - Super - 04-18-2017 Here is the results of my first purchase of the clear rubber bands. So far so good This particular brand is working perfectly. They are small (20mm) but they stretch easily to the size needed on the wagons and hold snugly. They seem quite nice and rubbery but only time will tell if they keep the elasticity and not loosen up or dry and become brittle. I may try some that are a touch bigger to test as I see a use for these with displaying or storing our trains to keep accessories together or just for running around the tracks with minimal visibility. They may also be useful in holding on loose coal, battery covers for Thomas characters tenders because they are easily lost. I have noticed that using regular rubber bands they become brittle over a short period of time, lose their elasticity and sometimes leave a residue on the toy. In the picture below you can see how small they start out to be compared to them in use. After going through crappy Ebay Seller trying to buy this exact Brand, (17 days without shipping or answering my messages) I had to have Ebay step in to give me a refund. I ended with this seller on the Amazon Market Place. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008OTA61M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 |
