RE: The "Show Us What You Bought" Thread - Super - 03-29-2014

I had my eye on a DE10 1577 a few months ago on Ebay from a UK seller and traffic held me up enough for me to walk in the door as the auction ended and I missed putting in my last second bid. I have been looking for another ever since. Funny thing though...a member here posted this picture a couple weeks after the auction ended....coincidence??? Big Grin

I really like the details along the sides and the front and rear grilles are awesome. No stickers here, all painted. I am not a fan of yellow wheels but they don't look too bad on this unit. I may swap them out for black or gray.

I like that, it looks really detailed and like a good candidate to fit headlights too!

Sorry I've been a little absent recently, been focused on other sites. So taking advantage of toy sale season in the last two months, I've been going on a spree of brown TrackMaster things before the grey versions starts flooding in, to sum up a good collection.

Stanley, Dodge, Sir Handel, Rusty, Sodor Sounds Track Pack, and Deluxe Spiral Track Pack are my most recent and likely last lot of purchases. I'll share my other lot of them when I can get them out.

Quite the large haul. The Sodor Sounds is pretty neat.

Well here it is. These TrackMaster items were all bought during the toy sale period of June-July at various times, so it's not a haul as such.

Rusty, Rosie, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Spencer, Stepney, Stafford, Porter, Duck's Close Shave, and Muddy Ferdinand.

Thomas Rides the Rails Starter Set, Bridge Track Pack (completes the set of the first series of track packs I own), Thomas Starter Set, and the Flexi-Track.

Junction Journey Track Pack, Windmill Starter Set, Cranky's Spinning Cargo Drop, Fiery Flynn's Rescue Set, Pump and Fill Oil Works Set

And lastly the two star sets, Risky Rails Bridge Drop and Castle Quest Set! Plus there are some Wooden Railway products and die-casts by Ertl to boot!

Yes I will open everything, I've already had a quick look inside most of the boxes but I'm not ready to store everything neatly yet. It was pretty interesting seeing what gets left on shelves going from store to store. I don't think I'll ever be doing anything like that again but it was fun and I'm pretty happy with what I achieved, even though there are a few bits and pieces before the sales that I would've like to have found as well. When the opportunity comes, I'm looking forward to building a layout very much.
