You'll have noticed that the recent Marunouchi Station came in a box with the same Real Class type Plarail logo...

Google Translate really isn't very good at context. The Japanese is 島式ホームキット.  Take away the キット, which are the characters for kit, and try the translation again. This time it comes up with the much more sensible 'Island Platform', so it can do it, it just needs a little help.

島 = island
式  = style, type, etc.
ホーム = home, but in the context of railways it also means platform.
