Interesting Super, looking at it I suspect it is probably the same set, it is definitely the same maker and the same 'train' - bearing in mind the cover of the one I have is quite faded. It might be mine is an earlier incarnation of it which would be very interesting as that one is stated as being 10 years old. It's also about 8 times more expensive than I paid for my one which apart from the faded box looks pretty much unused.

I'll keep an eye on it though, curiously I've not been able to find a single thing about this set on the internet despite various searches...

Looks like the maker Arii (I think) makes a lot of model kits and some HO trains or just coaches.

Yes, in my search I turned up a lot of plastic kits, but nothing else of any great note. Maybe it was a brief foray into the train market and they decided not to proceed, it happens sometimes when a firm tries to branch out into new ground.

Right now for the more normal members on our boards I will share with you a couple of pictures of a couple of particularly nice items. But before that here's a description of what this parcel contained;

First a job lot which contained;

1 x Konami S-09 Digi-Q Train Set (4 channel IR controller, Track, Scenery and a type 838 shinkansen.
1 x Konami S-001 Digi-Q Train Set (4 channel IR controller, Track and a type 500 shinkansen.
6 x Konami Digi-Q Trains (4 cars per set)
1 x 4 bay Train Charger + PSU
1 x box of series 13 Train B Shorty kits (24 of)
1 x box of series 14 Train B Shorty kits (24 of)
all of the above are new sealed old stock

Other items;

4 x ZZ Train sets (2 x NEX, 1 x E231, 1 x 485 Express)
3 x Diecast Anpanman Trains + figurine
2 x Takara PlaRail replacement traction tyres

Now the really nice items;

Firstly a limited edition (110th anniversary) Hong Kong tram set - this contains track and a motorised tram car;


Finally the 'partridge on a pear tree' my new D51-498, nothing that special I hear some of you say, except this is a 1/40th scale (around O gauge) remote control locomotive/tender and track + wagon.

This is truly enormous, I've added a PlaRail EF510 to give a sense of scale of this model. It is motorised featuring a built in re-chargeable battery and remote controller - ENJOY!!

I have to admit it did surprise me when it arrived as when you see a photo of the goods/box etc... you build a mental picture as the auctions rarely list sizes of things. So I expected a box to arrive about the size of a large shoe/boot type box. But oh no, this box was about 30" long by 12" high by 8" deep lol!!

Again the engine, I know 'O gauge' is generally 1/42th scale so should have expected 1/40th to be a bit bigger, but we so rarely see 'O gauge' loco's as they are pretty rare and expensive (saw some in a local store the other month which were ~ £500). But this one the loco alone is about a foot long with another 4-5" or so for the tender, even the wagon is a good 6-7" long

I did do a bit of research before bidding, but let's just say I got an absolute bargain, especially as this is new/un-run and now out of production

How long it will something from Jauce get delivered to me?

It depends where you live mate, for me it generally takes 3-4 days to get to the UK then a week to clear customs and then a day or two for delivery once I've paid any charges due. So in all about 2 weeks door to door.

For some it takes less if their countries have more efficient customs, it will also depend on which shipping option you take and even possibly the size and weight of the package.

One thing to be aware of, shipping from Japan is generally not cheap at all, so be careful
