Wow Another Oldie!

I am always amazed at finding something I haven't seen or heard about. This oldie in an old lift off top box has the old Tomy Blue Logo with the two children. I am guessing that its from 1965 as the listing only states "1965's Pla New train" No name, no other information. Must be very rare especially new as it lists for 25000yen. Paint looks like it changes the look according to the angle of the light. Wonder if its like a chrome paint. Anyone know more especially its name? Wow, 1965, hard to believe they made them that far back and the the primary look is still the same.

Are those two separate pictures of two different trains or two pics of the same train with different lighting??
Play nice & have fun!!Smile
They are the two pictures from the listing. Thats why I think the train may be chrome behind the fancy paint and the light reflects differently I think.

Yes, I had to go on that dreaded site and have a look for myself!!lol
I think you are right.. It is iridescent an most likely just impossible to photograph.
Sure would be a marquee piece in a collection!!
Seems like these don't come around too often?

I really like that old Tomy logo. It would be neat if they would incorporate it on any new boxes of any remakes that they do. Or maybe all the logos through the years.

@Muddy
Just think about how much pleasure and fun you would have missed out on if it were not for that "dreaded site" Big Grin

Lol I jest Super...I love Jauce!! It has served us well but after this next shipment is ordered, I may be retiring or at least taking a leave of absence for a while until a B20 comes up!! Feeling pretty satisfiedSmile

I think though that one more sub-category may be in order...
What about having one train from each decade?
50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's, to current???
Mmmm hmmm...now that would be sick!!
Play nice & have fun!!Smile

I have seen a few B20's come up in the last month. I will keep an eye out and give you a holler if I see any more.

At least three, I remember because I get greedy and have to talk myself out of my compulsion to buy when I see a good deal for a train even fr one I already have and don't need, especially a rarer one. A lot of time my rational brain will bring me around but there are times when where it doesn't show up.
