@Super,

This is a Plarail New Densha sold between 1972 and 1974.

Note: There were THREE Plarail New Densha sold between 1972 and the late 1970s. There were minor modifications between them. I am almost certain this one is New Densha Version 1.

I hope this helps. Smile

Thank you Plarnold

Version one, I can see why it is a high asking price now. Do you happen to know if the sides are reflective or chrome? I can't seem to find much info on any real trains.

I think you are right.. It is iridescent an most likely just impossible to photograph.
Sure would be a marquee piece in a collection!!
Seems like these don't come around too often?

Why do you hate eBay? I once got some Rokenbok from eBay, and it was in perfect condition!!!
I AM NOT DEAD. Just inactive.

Please don't get me wrong ROKMAN1445...I love these auction sites so much that once I am on them I lose any sense of self control and spend any extra bit of money I have on these beautiful trains leaving myself in a constant scramble to keep up with maintaining all of the real life bills and monetary commitments...I'm not complaining because it's the life we choose, I just dread clicking to look because I know where it always leads me...back the poor house.
Play nice & have fun!!Smile

At least, while you are in your poor house you can go into your great train room and play. Wink
Yes, this train is glossy, reflective and chrome-plated. Be careful though, some of it can peel off if not taken care of properly.

Thanks for the info and the tip Plarnold Smile
