Railway Series Book One - 'The Three Railway Engines', starts "Once upon a time there was a little engine called Edward. He lived in a shed with five other engines". TV Series One, Episode One - 'Thomas and Gordon', starts "Thomas is a Tank Engine, who lives at a big station on the island of Sodor. He's a cheeky little engine with six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler, and a short stumpy dome". |
