That is a terrific set Geris, thanks for sharing in your excitement. I didn't realize this was long out of print. When was the set first released and for how long?
The Thomas wrapping looks to be all paint and the train shell is embossed which makes me happy. This, and the Tomy trains like it, looks to be a good transition train for kids going from the Thomas line into the trains modeled after real life ones. I love these Rural Stations too with the Outhouse. They have many, many variations of this station but could this be the only, train specific, variant with that awesome signboard? I also like the Station sign where the clock is normally located on the building and the color scheme is great. Love the black fence. I enjoy watching your unboxing videos because they show your emotion for these trains. Might I make a request? Is there a chance to see you run an unboxed train at the very end of your videos? Even if its only on a circle of track on your dinning room table for a lap or two? Fine job and keep them coming so I can live vicariously through Indigo's and your excitement!
Wow... I learn alot about trains in Japan with each unboxing!

If I didn't know better I would have guessed the noisy Salty was a Trackmaster.
I had forgotten about those two trains I sent you. (04-13-2015, 07:01 PM)Super Wrote: That is a terrific set Geris, thanks for sharing in your excitement. I didn't realize this was long out of print. Both are Tomy the noisy Salty came in the limited edition 4 pack that also included the 2 black troublesome Trucks without cargo, I bought the 4 pack new, but just up graded because I found Salty new for 10$ I could not pass that up!
Stickers...really? Are the windows stickers also because they look somewhat embossed. Is the Salty a new release with an updated motor?

Is the Salty a new release with an updated motor? the windows are not stickers, just the Thomas decorations are stickers. And no this is the 2005 release of Salty in U.S. packaging. Same motor in both one just happened to be quieter, so I switched them both my Salty releases are in mint condition I just wanted to run which ever was quieter, I bought them both brand new in packaging.
I am so jealous. I have been looking for just the brown coaches of this neat Thomas release and now you have 6 of them. I would assume that they may become a collectors item if they stop making them. Do you know if there is a limited release for this Thomas and when the cut off date might be? Was that a small sticker sheet in there?
Did they say to keep the other 2 sets ans not return them? Lucky guy. I am not into Thomas much but absolutely love this release of him as a C11. The details are great. I am getting the urge to pick up a used one and just deface him with a boiler door and nothing else. Is the color of the fence and sign board included in the Keilhan 700 set black or a dark forest green? So glad that third time is a charm for you and thanks for sharing. BTW: Love seeing them run on the tracks as part of the unboxing, Thanks |
