Plarnold, I think if I could get my hands on a Mac to use for a couple of days, I would be able to correct this issue, as I am using an ipad for iMovie and sometimes filming. But I have this figured out- my camcorder+iMovie on iPad=no edited videos.

Despite what Apple says, the iPad is not a proper production machine. You are better off with a proper computer to do video editing.

At first I thought you wee running iMovie on a Mac with which I could provide help, but since I don't have iMovie on iPad I can not help you. Sorry.

I wouldn't think that a Tablet would have enough power of the video card good enough for video editing. Most Laptops and Tablets really don't have Video Cards but a video chip on the mother board. I am no expert though. Maybe Tablets are OK to do the filming but I would think you would have to transfer that file to a Desktop computer for serious editing.

Tablets are good for head-aches.

I'm not anywheres near big league yet super, I plan to buy a Mac this summer if I cant find the parts I need to start fixing up my project truck.

I have a Tablet but I only use it when I go out and have to wait somewhere like a doctors office or getting car maintenance. Just so I can pass the time surfing the Internet or Email. I don't have a do all phone like most of you, just an old 15 year old flip phone that doesn't do anything except make and receive calls.

Tablets are great for quick easy work and entertainment including browsing the web. Unfortunately, some companies selling them are marketing them as the ultimate device for everything.
