furthermore, are you implying that the snow series has stopped in the u.k.?
The snow series was never available in the UK. Toys R Us Uk and The US Company are entirely different . I was a store manager in the UK when the company was sold .
Walmart owns ASDA in the UK and sometimes we get special releases . For Black Friday they imported the 5 in 1 Trackmaster Revolution set and sold it for £22 .
I've decided to put my purchases in the one thread. I won't post everything I buy but it will mainly be TrackMaster and anything else of great interest.
I went to the same Toys R Us previously and as I was looking high and low, I discovered a TrackMaster Wild, Whirling Ol' Wheezy Set out of reach. It was marked down to $20 since the Thomas was missing, but I'm pretty happy about that! The first Misty Island track I have which I can run Ferdinand on! Very glad to find this set.
On the same day, I completed Series 3 of the MINIS, and I'm pleased to have completed the Old School and Dino themes.
Nice!
I saw somewhere online, lastnight the tomy blue track, done in white/snow... cannot remember where it was, but looked really good and wanted too buy some, but noidea where to get it from.
jdog, if you want a correct set i am happy to swap you. i ordered 3 sets and they all came correct. would be more than happy to send you one as a trade.
i looked at the special thomas instore a couple of weeks ago, but at close to $100 i had to pass. it looks great but not $100 great, lol. even $50 would have been on the high side to me
Very nice Jdog. I really like looking inside of Thomas's cab,

I had no idea my stamp set was an actual mistake, as when I looked it up online, I saw the same error. Thank you for the offer but the stamp set doesn't bother me that much, I'm happy with how it is.
I forgot that the Thomas Special Edition Engine is expensive, but there conveniently was a train sale at my Toys R Us this month which made it around $60AU, which is much more worth what you get.
I come back from a trip to Japan and bring all this home with me!
Plarail items bought from the Plarail Store in Tokyo Station: - Percy and Rocky
- Gator and Marion
- Rail Turntable
Tomica items: - Thomas
- Oigawa Railway Thomas
- Cup Noodle Vehicle
Capsule Plarail: - Clear Rusty, Clear Duke, and Mountain (from "Little Glitter Friends of Mine" series)
- Bertie and Rainbow Rail (from "Various Thomas' Large Set" series)
- Carnival Car and Sloping Track (from "Special Magical Changing" series)
Other items of interest: - I See Thomas! book (puzzle book featuring lovely photographs of some Thomas toy ranges. Scans will most certainly come)
- Nakayoshi Toby and Henrietta by Bandai (will keep in box)
- Daiso battery-powered Japanese train (works on Motor Road and Rail/TrackMaster tracks)
- Thomas gumball machine
These are my first proper Plarail items ever. Unfortunately, I couldn't go too overboard or else I'd have no space, but I really did want a turntable, and I thought the engines I chose both had unique qualities that made them worth buying. I'd like to make another layout at the end of the year featuring this and some stuff I found earlier in the year. For the Capsule Plarail, it would've been nice to have had some different choices, as the Gachapon machines contained variants like Black James, a Railway Series style Thomas, and Narrow Gauge Coaches, but what I ended up with was decent enough. I See Thomas! was a book I was looking forward to finding for quite sometime, but there were also some other books I saw which blew me away, such as an Encyclopedia containing info on every character (including Phillip!) and an episode guide as well with lovely images, and another which covered almost everything that was released in Japan for the 70th anniversary.
some great stuff, j. must get to japan one day, but i would need a shipping container to bring everything home...
looking forward to more photos and scans of the book.
Plarail store! Did you get a limited edition Tomica badge?
