Streamlined engines and siderods

does anybody know if the siderods on streamlined Thomas/Gordon are the same length as the ones on a 2015 plarail Gordon? i want to do a mod but don't know if they are because I haven't purchased of the engines yet. thanks.

Hopefully one of our members who have these versions can help out. I also hope you will keep us up to date on any customs you will be working on. 👍

Both use the standard (1992-present) coupling rod design that debuted on regular Thomas and even share the same 2 speed chassis, so they will be interchangeable.

2015-present Gordon and his variants also have the standard design, but with a moulded projection to represent eccentric rods and valve gear. No idea why they weren't reused on Shooting Star, since the shell seems to have more clearance than regular Gordon's.
