Interesting Generic Train Customs

Came across this fellows YouTube videos where he found a couple generic engines and customized them as Thomas characters and they run on Trackmaster tracks.

Not quite what I expected by "generic trains" (either the opposite of these or not Thomas related), but I appreciate the little extra effort in making the diesel look better before the repaint. Those fake bogies from the North Pole Express tender look more convincing than when TOMY and FP do it. My favourite detail is the side steps, with how precise and consistent he made them. Only the face is too distinctly Toby's and there are other square/rectangular ones he could've used (or changed the features a bit), while Skarloey's can look OK on a completely different engine. BTW, the moulds are from an Imaginarium toyline called Power Rails.

sadly the imagarium engines are too tall to clear the standard tomy bridge pillars and tunnels.
