school gala success

we went to a school gala near us today. its usually really good and this year was no exception. they have the bric a brac, toys etc in a small hall, with the toys being located right down the end this year.

i scored the majority of the percy deluxe set for $10, a big loader set for $10 and assorted "junk" for $4.
the two sets were under tables. as i grabbed the thomas set, i saw the big loader just out of reach, with a few kids between. saw a hand reach in and pick it up, and panicked before realising it was mum.

theres a lot of road track, which is good as i dont have much of that. the correct percy and bertie are missing, but instead theres an ertl bulgy and i found the VINTAGE tomy percy on a table and threw him in. lol


the blanket is a cot blanket. theres ribbon with trains on it, which i will try and remove. the thomas is a knock off one, not sure what it does. was in a box of mcdonalds toys.

not sure what i will do with the big loader. all i want is the chassis, the rest is junk to me, so if anyone needs parts and is prepared to pay shipping from new zealand, pm me. looks like its all there except the balls.

This fake Thomas is actually a Alloy Thomas with Lights and Sounds. I'm sure it plays the train sounds and then, the Engine Roll Call song

Nice find Sunhuntin. Seems like you have a knack for finding Tomy/Plarail/Trackmaster stuff all over New Zealand. I never find anything, then again I don't put myself out there looking for it

its only cos i go to galas etc as a matter of course. and it seems i have a tomy radar that pings at things like this. i sometimes get a gut feeling to check a thrift shop or something and its usually correct.
