Knock off trackmaster weirdness

I would really be interested in knowing the what, where & how about these knockoffs. Of course we know that they have to come from China where they don't honor intellectual property rights, but how are they made? Where did they get the molds? What does Plarail/Tomy/Trackmaster/Mattel/Fisher Price and all think about these flooding the market and are they doing anything about it?. Of course we can all guess what the answers are but we will probably never know the what is really going on. I also have a question about the quality and are they actually getting cheaper?

I think it's more likely that the reason why the toolings have changed is due to being too similar to the actual ones. Even though they may look I bit cursed I think they're still better than the official ones.
