The Biggest Project of All:

8 Replies, 3696 Views

As some of you may know, I posted a photo of a Storyboard I would use for The Biggest Project of All for any Thomas & Friends fan...
Well, here are the specifics & notes for this undertaking of a project:

The Specific Notes for the Project:

The Biggest Project of All will involve the use of Thomas and Friends TrackMaster models from:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Plarail
- TOMY
- HiT toys
- Fisher-Price
- 2014 Mattel.
-----------------
This project will also include models from other ranges too, but I don't know which ones I'd need. I guess an example could be in "Victor Says Yes" where there was a Greatest Moments pack for that episode released in 2011 by the Thomas Wooden Railway line for the Brand New "Wobbly Wheels & Whistles" DVD from that same year, the pack was called "Victor and the Engine Repair Car" for those who don't know. It came with a Thomas Wooden Railway Victor and an Engine Repair Car with lights in it, as well as parts for different steamies and diesels. I could put that Freight Car somewhere in the background of the Steamworks, maye in a scene like this one
[Image: Screenshot-2023-03-18-7-20-45-PM.png]
(Scene no. 8 in "Victor Says Yes")

Or this one:
(Scene no. 9 in "Victor Says Yes")

Here, I could stick the Engine Repair Car onto the rails in one spot, or unscrew it and place the parts from it onto the ground presumably next to kevin or the workmen, or in the 9th scene, I could do whatever with it because it's an overhead shot of the steamworks. Idk, that GM pack is also rare as heck too, and I am going in chronological order of the episodes too. (For some context, "Victor Says Yes" is the 9th episode of the 14th season, which aired on October 21st, 2010 in the Uk, and on December 14th, 2010 in the U.S.) Speaking of chronological order, that will be my next point here:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THESE REMADE EPISODES WILL ALL BE DONE IN THE CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER THEY AIRED ON TV. For example, season 11 will go in the U.S. order like this:

(Key: New Friends Release - Episode Produced a New Friends Release | GM Pack - Episode Produced a Greatest Moments Pack | Claimed - I own it BNiB!)

1. "Thomas and the Storyteller"
2. "Emily and the Garbage/Emily's Rubbish" (New Friends Release)
3. "Dream On"
4. "Dirty Work"
5. "Hector the Horrid!" (New Friends Release)
6. "Gordon and the Mechanic/Engineer"
7. "Thomas and the Spaceship"
8. "Henry's Lucky Day"
9. "Thomas and the Lighthouse"
10. "Thomas and the Big Bang"
11. "Smoke and Mirrors"
12. "Thomas Sets Sail"
13. "Don't be Silly, Billy" (New Friends Release)
14. "Edward and the Mail"
15. "Hide and Peep"
16. "Toby's Triumph"
17. "Thomas and the Runaway Car"
18. "Thomas in Trouble"
19. "Thomas and the Stinky Cheese" (Deluxe Engine Release)
20. "Percy and the Left Luggage"
21. "Duncan Does it All" (GM Pack)
22. "Sir Handel in Charge" (GM Pack)
23. "Cool Truckings"
24. "Ding-a-Ling" (GM Pack, Claimed)
25. "Skarloey Storms Through" (GM Pack)
26. "Wash Behind Your Buffers".
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is a lot more info going into this, but I will continue it later, these pieces of info should cover some suspicions for right now, btw, I listed a Fllying Scotsman on eBay around 5 days ago, check it out before it ends! the title is: "Thomas Wooden Railway Flying Scotsman 2nd Generation".

Btw, the title is a reference to "The Biggest Present of All" (Thomas and Friends: Season 13, Episode 16 - January 9th, 2010)

Well, Super, the room I'm using to do these still needs to be cleaned out, and modified to be a giant set for the remakes. Like I said, I will do "Special Attraction" first because I can remake it with the models I already have.

I thought that you would record each season/ movie in one go, filming what you need on each set, as you probably won't be able to recreate the sets exactly in the future.

Well D9D10O11, I would've done that back then, but now I have a bit of a problem with what's happening to all this planning. My sister, who has been living on her own for about 2-3 years now, is going to move back into my studio (which was her old room).

The reason she is moving back is due to intense financial struggles, and the fact that the job she currently has is one of the absolute worst she has ever had. She can't make enough money to pay her rent, and my Mom and Dad have been paying her rent for her ever since she started living on her own pretty much. Now they aren't doing it anymore because of not only the crazy stress this is causing them, but the fact that they cannot do this anymore with her, and now she'll have to move back into her old room (which became my studio after she left to live on her own). I know I should not be writing something like this, but it is only being done for the purpose of letting you all know the current status these remakes are in as of 8/2/2023.

This is being done because we need to have her feel just at home like nothing ever happened, and to welcome her back in a nice way.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These remakes will still happen though, I have not given up on the dream of doing this. In fact, I am actually just getting started with this process by doing a bit of test filming on some of these episodes.

I have decided to do this to give myself a hint of experience in filming these episodes so that way I get better at it later on, and I will know how to film certain camera angles when I get to the actual remakes of these episodes. So I got that going pretty well right now.

If anyone is wondering, the set that would've originally been built in my studio, will now be built in the studio of my Dad. Which is in the basement. He was happy to go along with a plan like this, and we've decided to rename that space downstairs to: The Boys' Studio™
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, I am happy to say that I will not be opening up my NiB models to do these remakes, I am actually now on a second form of a hunt:

EXCELLENT USED CONDITION ITEMS!!!

"That's Right!" (Ferdinand, 2010) I will now be hunting for Used Condition models that are close to NiB Condition, so I no longer will have to stress about opening up my new models. This idea was recommended by my Mom, and I basically went: "That's a fine idea Skarloey!" (Quote from Mr. Percival in "Push Me, Pull You") and started getting these models asap. Btw, one of these Used models will be coming to my house in a few days, and it will be posted about in the "My Newest Arrival!" Thread. I think you are all in for a treat with what I will write on that post, let's just say this Used model in something I have been "Holding Out" for a while on, if you catch my drift.
