Ancient Egypt Adventure Set

I've created this thread to bring together the information we have on BPT about the Plarail Ancient Egypt Adventure Set (古代エジプト冒険セット), released 09-Aug-2001.

Here's the box, front & back, showing that the portal to Ancient Egypt is located in the D51 Time Station.

There is the same "map" ("satellite view") on page 2 of the Tomy/Tomica/Plarail Catalogue 2001-2002. I got that catalog with the Ancient Egypt Set (it was in the sealed box).

I wonder if there are any hints in that map of other adventure sets that they were hoping to do but didn't.

The three lines of text at the top say something like this:

" The D51's rotating destination information board also has "Ancient Times" or "Distant Future".
Ken'ichi of the "Ancient Egyptian Adventure Set" goes on an adventure journey using the space-time jumping function of this Time Station D51. "

So there might be a clue to a planned 'Distant Future' destination on that rotating destination information board. So far I've failed to find any legible pictures. Has anyone out there got one of these Time Stations?

So, with enormous thanks to sunhuntin, I think we have:

1. 中世行き - to the Middle Ages*
2. 戦国行き - to the Warring States period**
3. 古代行き - to Ancient Times
4. 未来行き - to the Future
5. 原始行き - to the Beginning
6. 宇宙行き - to Space

*   In Japan the 'Middle Ages' refers specifically to the Kamakura and Muromachi periods, 1185 to 1573
** The Warring States or Sengoku period in Japanese history was marked by near-constant civil war, social upheaval, and political intrigue. 1467 to 1615, (and Sengoku is a subway station on the Toei Mita Line).

Hopefully Vio will check this out and tell me if I've got anything wrong.

Those all would be neat to see if they had continued with the series. It's never too late Plarail. Any one of these sets could still be made at any time. Come on...you know you want to...
