Must get pretty toasty warm for the crew in that enclosed boiler.
That's the exact same rotary snowplough I showed at the Transport Museum! I didn't think they would ever remove it, much less bring it back to life. Then again, it does seem the Swiss still rely on steam traction for various non heritage uses. I would've expected it to be oil or coal fired only and not aided by wood, unless it has more than one firebox. Any steam loco releases steam from underneath, but I do wonder if it helps melt the snow better in this case (when the ground is covered).
