Road score! Can anyone ID this piece please?

8 Replies, 4370 Views

I found this today in a free box on the side of the road.
I couldn’t wait to get it home to see if it could work as a riser ( it can), but when I was taking pictures to share it here on BPT, to my amazement, it is stamped TOMY!!
Does anyone recognize what Tomy product this piece is from?
They look to be stackable, and are very similar to the clear blue Motorized Jeremy at the Airport risers.
I don’t want to modify this one yet until I know what it’s from, how the system stacks, or if there is even a market to find more of them, but they seem to have the potential to be shaved down a bit to be a perfect standard Tomy riser height very easily.

Ludorum is the company that created and owns the rights to Chuggington, so a piece with "Ludorum plc" moulded on it is to Chuggington what a piece with "Britt Allcroft" would be to Thomas.

"RCIL" is Racing Champions International Ltd, a toy manufacturer and a division of RC2 Corporation of Oak Brook, Illinois, which itself became a subsidiary of Takara Tomy in 2012.  They make Learning Curve brand toys.

"SO40 3SA UK" was the postcode for Tomy UK.

If you must be so precise, it is not in Southampton.

The SO40 postcode covers the town of Totton and the villages of Cadnam, Marchwood, and Lyndhurst. The precise address is Unit 6-9, South Hampshire Industrial Park, Brunel Road, Totton, SO40 3SA, UK.

The premises are now occupied by Harvest Fine Foods.
