My very first orders from Japan

For a long time, I’ve desperately wanted to give Buyee a go (you can thank my friend DuckGWR for that, who also helped me out a ton with using Buyee. Thanks!), but I was scared off by the horrors of... expensive international shipping! Brrr! Buyee put out a coupon for up to $100 off international shipping for first time users of Mercari recently, and I caved. I managed to get the majority of my most wanted trains for a fraction of what they would go for on eBay (if they ever appeared at all, that is...)!

I’ve always been very interested in the Made in Japan era Thomas Plarail, so this Made in Japan Thomas, Annie, and Clarabel was a must have. This was the main item I was trying to find.

This wasn’t something I originally expected to find, but when I saw it I figured it was worth it. Yujin candy dispenser Thomas with various freight cars from the 2001 Thomas and Lively Freight Cars set. I really like their loads and the interesting colours they come in.

Final piece of the order was one I just bought a few hours ago. Thanks again to DuckGWR for bringing this lot to my attention, he was kind enough to let it go to me. One of my dream trains, a Talk n’ Action James (I’m only a TAD interested in them, despite what my username would tell you... Wink )! A few other odds and ends, the Nakayoshi SR engines being the highlights.

Will definitely be doing another round of orders from Buyee sometime in the future. Can’t wait for these wonderful items to arrive. -MagicRail

Thanks Tons. Solid eyes variant, there are pie cut eye and solid versions. Not sure which one came first, but since Percy has solid eyes I’d imagine the pie cut eyes are earlier. I hardly noticed it was one at first, too focused on the freight cars! There are a couple up on Mercari JP right now. They’re already scarcely found trains, but part of their rarity definitely stems from the fact they’re almost NEVER listed as Yujin/candy dispenser Thomases. -MagicRail

Yes indeed, i found my boxed Terence because he was misspelt as terrrence! I did not know about the pie variations. Personally i really dont like the pie eyes they just seem a little odd and a tad creepy if you know what i mean of course.
