Custom Albert from a Whiff

I would like to see him run the Tomy or Trackmaster tracks to see how those front wheels and those wide rear wheels would track especially on the curves and slopes. Looks nice though.

I had no idea Whiff's side frames left enough space to fit coupling rods behind them. That means he'd have to be wider than other engines, which doesn't sound good in terms of tight spots (like the platforms on the Elsbridge Station Crossing). It may sound wrong and I never thought about it, but I think Stepney with the splashers removed and some other mods could be just as good if not better than Whiff (who is more bulky and less evenly proportioned). Furthermore, Albert only has two thin steps on each side and his wheels are exposed, so he doesn't need those frames anyway:

The face from Arthur looks very close to the illustrations, so it's a great choice for him. Shame it would be too big on Stepney or Thomas, though. I'm surprised how long it took me to find another suitable engine to use.
