Hello Softbelly and welcome to BPT's.

I haven't done too much with Thomas faces but what exactly are you trying to repair? What grey paint is chipping? Are you just talking about the eyebrows, mouth and eyes?

It is very difficult to find the same grey pain texture to fix the paint chips. You may want to consider to repaint the entire face.

I use grey sharpie to fix the chipped paint.

I didn't know there are painted faces. All the de-faced ones I came across are the color of the plastic. No paint, no chips.
