Tomy/Trackmaster Serial Number types and meanings

When we usually get our engines, they usually have a serial number on them somewhere, does anyone know the meaning of one?

Here's the examples:

Plarail (2015-Present)

Does anyone know of a serial number has any meaning to our Tomy/Trackmaster models?

I don't know exactly myself but that is a curious question T-Boy. My guess is that those aren't Serial Numbers but more Production/Part numbers used in the manufacturing but I could be wrong. Anyone else have an idea?

Does anyone know what these numbers and letters mean?

They could simply be batch numbers or maybe even the serial number of the machine tools (moulds) used to make that train or component if there are different numbers on multiple parts. This could be used to track down a faulty mould/machine if some components come off the production line with consistent faults or similar bearing in mind they will probably have multiple machines or sets of moulds on a machine producing them at any one time.

I guess the serial number makes it easier if there is a recall especially the infamous toxic paint incident awhile back.

Production in Jan.' 10
-A (month): January
-10 (Year) : 10 (1910 or 2010 ?)
 
* Paper printed in body cover: no more since year 2017

Production in 25 May 19
E : May  / L= Dec.
19 : Year 19 (2019)
* Punching on chassis and all motor area : started in year 2016

Production in the 271th day in year 8 from factory E 
271 : the 271th day (1 Jan =1, 31 Dec.=365)

Hi Nigel.. your comments shown you are quite familiar with moulds and manufacturing system, nice to hear such idea, respect on you.  

As I heard about TOMY's mould, the mould number they marked at area which not so easily seen by customers such as inside body. Below picture shown mould number of my Annie. 

Each mould has several cavities, they also indicate cavity number as well.
