Daring derail set problem....help!

Still nice of them to offer when they really didn't have to because the issue wasn't caused by them. I do find it hard to believe in this day and age that there isn't a digital breakdown schematic of working parts for any set and they are saved somewhere in the company.

So, Fisher Price has pretty cool customer service. Today I received a trackmaster set that they sent me to replace the Daring Derail set. Only problem is, they no longer carry the Daring Derail set so they sent me the "Boat and Sea" set. My son already has this set, so I am willing to send it to anyone who can post a pic of the track piece in question. I would only ask that you pay for shipping. I'll wait a week or so and if no one posts it, I'll just donate this one

Thats very generous of you Prime. I hope this gives a nudge to someone who may have the Daring Derail set to just open the bottom plate a snap a photo to help you out and at the same time gain a free set.

Update: I called a couple of stores but no-one near me had any sets left. As per your experience it seems like it's a discontinued product which is why I saw it online advertised at a clearance price quite cheap.

Will certainly keep my eyes open if I notice one cheap on eBay.

No worries. I've decided to purchase this set from amazon. They had one that was "used" with a slight imperfection. I'm sure it was just bought and returned to them. It sounds like the set in general has a lot of issues and often doesn't work properly which is probably why not many folks have one. I do remember the brief period before my son took it apart that it didn't really seem to work like it should. Regardless, we will see how this goes. My plan was to take one apart myself, get the one we have back together, and resell the extra set. I will take pics and post them on here for reference
