Happened to come across JonlukevilleTV's latest video with what looks to be something new for Trackmaster II. Trackmaster Turbo Engines 2x's faster, What do you think? Just another Gimmick or something neat? Are these motorized and what are those turbo tracks?

Huh, I had not heard of these before. I’m sure my son will want these and he’s definitely in the target demographic.
I suspect this will appeal more to that 5-7 year old boy demographic who like the “thrill ride” sets. Those of us in the “old guy club” who think railroad excitement means watching a D51 pull a string of boxcars might be underwhelmed! ![]() I have to admit that they look pretty cool. ![]() EDIT: Looking at this on a big screen, it appears that Mattel may have replaced the separate “eye coupler” with the molded-on design they started using on rolling stock last year. I know a lot of collectors were unhappy about the move away from the Plarail-style hook and eye system but it isn’t surprising that they’ve changed it.
I am wondering who is in this “old guy club” ? I can't wait to be old enough to join.
I would offer a more detailed explanation but I’ve misplaced my reading glasses and the text on my phone is causing me eye strain!

Your reading glasses are right next to your Metamucil
Hopefully there will be a way for peope to retrofit the new couplers with the standard fish couplers.

I want to give the fixed eye couplers a try to see if there’s really much of a difference. My very limited experience with my son’s fixed coupler rolling stock has been kind of inconclusive.
Lol...funny Super about the old jokes! WE all ready covered these in a previous post a while back...we already agreed that they were hideous and looked like cheap knockoffs. Have you forgotten? Lol I didn't like the looks of them back when we first discussed them, but after seeing Jonluke's review (and especially hearing his exuberance)(I love that kids voice and quirky delivery) he made them seem pretty cool, and we are planning to add them too!
