Well I've been acquiring quite a few locomotives so its about time I increased my rolling stock otherwise what will they pull? So for a starter here's a job lot of Lima branded rolling stock I just received;

First up some larger box wagons;

1 x Coca-Cola
[Image: IMG_20180409_171531657.jpg]

1 x Schweppes
[Image: IMG_20180409_171552483.jpg]

3 x Heinz
[Image: IMG_20180409_171615835.jpg]

1 x British Rail
[Image: IMG_20180409_171642617.jpg]

Now some private owner plank wagons (originally typically used to haul Coal, although other loads would be carried at times).

1 x Pinxton
[Image: IMG_20180409_171716502.jpg]

1 x Greater Western
[Image: IMG_20180409_171729904.jpg]

2 x J K Harrison
[Image: IMG_20180409_171800192.jpg]

2 x P W Spencer
[Image: IMG_20180409_171816550.jpg]

1 x Black Park Colliery
[Image: IMG_20180409_171832924.jpg]

Now some 'normal' sized box wagons, these are typically about the same size as the private owner wagons and guards vans.

1 x Wall's (Ice Cream manufacturer among other things)

1 x St Ivel (Dairy)

1 x Greater Western
[Image: IMG_20180409_171935993.jpg]

1 x LMS
[Image: IMG_20180409_172003841.jpg]

1 x Lucas Batteries
[Image: IMG_20180409_172021493.jpg]

1 x Blue Circle Cement Tanker
[Image: IMG_20180409_172053518.jpg]

1 x British Steel 'Hopper'

1 x Esso Fuel Tanker
[Image: IMG_20180409_172143473.jpg]

1 x Guard Van (White Roof)

1 x Guard Van (Grey Roof)

Finally a couple of really quite special wagons

The first is a flat wagon with 3 cars as cargo, the really nice thing is the cars here are lovely detailed diecast models, not the normal primitive plastic ones you get, this was included in the above job lot.

The last one was an individual box wagon I purchased separately, purely because it is very unusual and I'd never seen one like it. Although you get plenty of box wagons, it is unusual to get one that is this long - about the same as a passenger carriage.

Love that Blue Circle Cement Tanker because its so different. I am curious as to why there are cutouts in the 2 box cars. I assume that is from the real versions but what are they for?

You just love your tankers don't you Super, now if I can only find one with rivets you'd wet yourself Smile I'm surprised you didn't call out the Esso tanker as well, I'm not sure they normally come in gold, but its quite striking.

Regarding the box car, if you look at the Heinz version you'll see that there are ladders/platforms on each end that go up to that cut-out, why I'm not sure, but I'll get a better picture of the ends as it may make more sense. The one you picked out (and two of the other Heinz ones) are all missing these steps/platforms as these are used/play worn models, although most in the batch are in pretty good nick especially at the price I paid Smile
