Has anyone else ever had the idea of using custom brass or nickel nameplates for Plarail and Trackmaster items? The website Narrow Planet makes model railway locomotive and rolling stock kits, as well as small accessories that can be customized to a customer's liking. They are most famous for their custom brass nameplates, which I have seen many times on HO, OO, and 009-scale models. After ruining my Plarail Ryan's blank nameplates with a sharpie, I had the idea of ordering some nameplates to use on most of the engines I have. I'm just hoping I'll be able to glue them on neatly enough and that I don't order them in a size too small or too large.

Sounds like a cool idea, have a Link?

The nameplates are under Custom Products, then Custom etched proucts.
For Ryan, I plan to use unpainted brass Manning Wardle nameplates at either 2 mm or 3 mm in height.

Yes, I’ve been trying to find etched brass number plates to replace the stickers on my steam locomotive fleet. Although it’s somewhat easy to find them for electrics, I can’t seem to find a source for steam. I would imagine the Japanese HO scale (1/80) would work just fine.
I'm sure you could find some good enough custom ones for cheap on here.

I've used brass stuff before but not nameplates, SR USA class custom has a brass smokebox door although it is slightly too large lol, also use it for my custom funnels. Sounds like a great idea.
