WMR&ES 2017 christmas show

2 Replies, 3412 Views

the wanganui model railway and engineering society hosted our annual christmas show on friday and saturday nights. i used my lego as per usual. this time, there was no room for tomy, though i took enough track just in case it was needed.

more pics as ever: http://sunstomyandfriends.weebly.com/chr...-2017.html

i loaned blair my tomix layout so he could run his narrow gauge skarloey and rheneas. he also had his vintage hornby dublo layout there.

blair has acquired a kiddie ride on train. $1 gets about a minute and a half of chugging and whistles. the inflatable was a gag gift from his mum a few years ago... blair is no fan of christmas.

Holy cow Sun...thats a Lotta Lego, its beautiful and I bet it was a hit with the children as they can relate to the blocks and the Lego train is the perfect addition to the town, great work. Must be hard transporting so much and not easily packed. Do you ever find loose bricks in the bottom of you transport boxes that you can't figure out where they go?

Blairs kiddie ride, The Santa Fe Express, is cool and in such good condition, is it vintage?

Can your Tomix Layout easily be stored under a childs bed to be slid in and out whenever to play with?

Is the Club House addition complete now on the inside and out?

What is "Toot O Vision"?

Why do I always ask so many questions.....oops...this is another one....?

yes, loose bricks are commonly found, and indeed some have vanished from a couple of sets.

not sure how old the kiddie ride is, but it has done mall time before. he got it from someone who services them, so its in pretty good shape,

yes, the tomix layout can be, but it lives at the club up against the wall.

the extension needs gib-stopping on the walls and a ceiling, and spouting on the outside. then it will be 100% finished and ready for use.

toot-o-vision is a layout built inside an old tv case. it is very popular, and i have seen people literally fall asleep watching it.

as to why so many questions? curious maybe.
