Should I switch my track?

I've been looking for a solution to this dilemma for a while.

So, I've built a collection of the TM1 track over the years. However, I've been finding it increasingly hard to find brown track, whereas plarail track is easy to find. Should I keep building my brown track collection, switch to plarail, or use a mix of both? I would really love to get some better switch tracks, as tm1 is lacking in that aspect, as well as risers. How easy is it to get adaptors, and how can I find them?

I'd use both if you have that much TM1 track. Adapters should be easy to find on eBay.

I found myself in a similar situation a year or two ago. I had tons of brown TM1 track but always found myself wanting to do something and I did not have the right switch or small connector, etc. also the elevated yellow girders if you want to use those the blue track is a must. Just my opinion. Big Grin

Everything you wan is most likely available on Ebay. Personally I like the Tomy track system as hit has much more variation and special pieces to really give's new ideas a chance. Of course we use all Tomy track but have gone to great lengths seeking out the hard to find Grey Tomy track but even then some special pieces only come in blue. If you run many Trackmaster II engines they will have trouble with the Tomy switches and some other special pieces as their activation tab under the chassis sits too low and the engine may derail or stop in which case you will have to modify those engines.
