tomy and kneepads

i bought these two tomy sets for $18 each. both are brand new, sealed with the original tape. they will remain that way, too.





my friend and i have also found ourselves with a new hobby, and in my case, a new goal. sadly, its also expensive to begin with, so the trains and lego side will likely fade quite a bit as i get set up with gear.

its roller skating, and my end goal is to hopefully get into a local derby team. we were at the rink and were approached by one of the members who was hoping to get people along for an intake class. we went, and loved it! it begins with basic skills, like how to stop and fall safely.

with any luck, we will both get healthier and lose some weight, while increasing stamina and skill.

so far, i have bought kneepads [$145NZD = ouch!] if i acheive my goal, i will need my own skates, elbow and wrist pads, helmet and mouthguard. the rest i am ok without for now, but kneepads were a must.



the hotwheels cars are peanuts ones and snuck into the photo, lol.

Excellent pick ups Sun. Those expansion kits are hard to find new in the box sealed and the boxes look mint. The Hotwheels look pretty cool, I din't know they had a line of Peanuts. Are old or something newer? I could use those knee pads while playing on the train Layout which is on the floor.

cheers super. the boxes are pretty tidy. a few bits of wear along the edges, but all in all very nice. i recalled geris saying the sets were hard to find, so i jumped on them.
the cars are new. its a set of 6, and im missing #1, which is charlie brown. seems mattel have left him out of the case, as ive tried two stores with no luck.

i seriously thought about the knee pads for that, but would need to remove the clear caps, as they are bulky and prevent back and forth movement unless you really go for it.
