tomica dream ride on diecast cars

so, a chance photo on facebook has opened up a new can of worms, lol. tomica dream ride ons, featuring hello kitty, doraemon, snoopy, thomas and a minion.

has anyone seen these in person before?

LOL...how many are you getting Sun? Why do they call it "Ride On"

seems theres 4 or 5 different ones at present. the figures appear to be plakid style, but chunkier, and they can fit in or on their respective vehicles.

there are two different snoopys. the other has a roof designed like charlie browns shirt and is from the peanuts museum in tokyo.

the only one that doesnt interest me is the minions one. the rest can tie into plarail trains.

have been eyeing up jauce, and theres a couple that are reasonably cheap, but im also needing [not wanting for once!] some decent kneepads for roller skating, so cant buy any of these for at least a few weeks. need to get the pads, and then work on getting my credit card bill down and savings back up.

I had thought that the term 'Ride On' was like your other Large real ride on trains.

Oh, no need to apologize, thats what they are called, Ride On. I assume they just mean the character rides on. Strange that they call it that and not come up with something different..

so, another chance find has finally lead me to the source of toy story "plakids" i saw on one of the promo dvds years ago. [edit: finally the found the screen shot i took!]

   

for some reason, they arent categorised as "tomica ride", though i think they should be.
i have also seen a pizza planet truck that opens into a playset for these, and some can be connected to its tow bar.
there is another playset that folds out to make andy's room, and when folded closed has woody's face on it.

Are these PlaKids size or much bigger?

that i dont know. im guessing they would be a similar size, otherwise the vehicles would be massive against other tomica vehicles. will likely get a set this week from jauce, with any luck.
