Trackmaster 2 Traction Tires

Does anyone know a good way to get Trackmaster 2 Traction Tires off?
To the best of my knowledge there is no way. Ucwepn has a couple videos on how he swapped out those Trackmaster II for regular Plarail/Trackmaster wheels.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I was thinking of switching Flying Scotsman's wheels
Give them to my son! Wink

In all seriousness though, you can usually carefully pry them off with your fingers. Pull them toward the outside of the wheel and they normally come off without much struggle.

I presume we’re talking about the actual tire and not the entire wheel.

GENIUS
Thanks Wink
They do? I actually thought they were afixed to the wheel, shows you how much I know. Blush

The trouble with removing the spiked tire is that then you lose overall wheel diameter and the locomotive will bottom out even more because of the low hanging activation/locking tab. Wheel swapping is the best thing to do.

Super, they’re glued on but rather loosely. They CAN stretch out of round but I’ve been able to fix that when it’s minor. I usually reglue the tires on to the wheels with Loctite Vinyl, Fabric & Plastic Flexible Adhesive.

Another alternative may be a wheel swap. If you have some spare Tomy/Plarail/Trackmaster wheels they should fit the axel as well.
I know you can wheel swap, but I dont want to take apart 2 locomotives
