Anyone else been searching for one of these? I heard it was produced for a short period, but no person has ever came forward with it.

Yes I am too...I believe it was a flip-face version, but it was recalled due to lead paint! Supposedly some were sold before the recall, but no one knows how many or how many were all turned back in... :/

I always saw it in the catalogs when I was younger, and it was probably my most wanted set advertised while it was advertised, but I never saw it in stores even once.

I've never heard of the lead paint thing. I know it was in a "Fun Guide", and then we never heard a peep. There was a Wooden Railway Ice Cream Factory recalled in that same year due to lead paint, but that product was existing in the market. Is that what we're getting confused with here?

Ah yes, the flip face trains that were never released. I remember being a little boy and going to the toy stores and seeing the images of the flip face Gordon and Percy models on the side of trackmaster boxes, shame they never got released. I always thought that the flip face Percy was never released but I did know that the reason why was because of lead paint. Interesting enough I have a 2006 wooden Railway James that was part of the wooden Railway lead paint crisis and the Model I have was on the list to be recalled. I didn’t know that a few of the flip face percy’s got released and I hope that one will surface up soon for all of us too see.

@ Jdogman, no confusion here...I am old, and sometimes misplace my glasses, but my memory is as sharp as a... Qtip?! Lol
Percy at the Icecream Factory is listed on FisherPrice's own website "recall" list.

i remember the lead paint debacle. it affected the pixar cars i collected at the time, to the point where many had to make the decision to return or keep. i kept mine, and in the disbanding of most of my collection, they remain as i dont want them to end up in a childs hand, possibly causing illness.
